The project delivered a first-of-its-kind aquifer storage system, constructing 17 groundwater wells and associated infrastructure to strengthen long-term water supply resilience. The system stores up to 800 million gallons underground, using advanced treatment processes to maintain water quality and support year-round delivery. Delivered through Progressive Design-Build (PDB), early collaboration between the City, designer, and TNW during preconstruction enabled proactive cost control, design optimization, and efficient phasing despite supply chain and site challenges. This alternative delivery approach streamlined decision-making, reduced risk, and ensured the project was delivered reliably to meet the community’s growing water demands.
