Airport Industrial Park Utilities Expansion (AIPUE)

Airport Industrial Park Utilities Expansion (AIPUE)

This project extended critical utility infrastructure to support growth at the airport industrial area, requiring extensive drilling and blasting, installation of over 32,500 linear feet of pipeline, and manhole construction at depths exceeding 30 feet. Spanning from the valley floor to the airport, the project covered approximately 377 feet of elevation gain with slopes exceeding 40%, creating challenging access and construction conditions. TNW worked closely with the City and design team to develop a best-value approach to these constraints. Additional complexities included existing utility conflicts, highway and canal crossings, work near active facilities, a narrow construction corridor, on-site material processing, and deep excavation in solid rock.
