OSU-C Site Reclamation and Remediation
This project was the first redevelopment phase of the pumice mine and construction landfill into usable land for the 10-acre OSU-Cascades campus expansion. TNW excavated, processed, and embanked 700,000 CY of material; remediated select areas of the former Bend Demolition and Construction Landfill; executed mass grading and filling; and participated in consistent monitoring and testing to ensure compliance with all requirements. TNW worked with OSU-C to develop a recycling plan for the landfill material which included sifting, sorting, and blending excavated material with native soil.
